MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee holiday event is getting ready for kickoff off at Cathedral Square Park.
More than 100 evergreen trees were delivered on Friday, Oct. 29, ahead of the Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival set to begin next month.
"It's a great feeling when we're at the end. I think my favorite part though is when we get to the part where we're done getting the lights and decorations out here and we get to watch the kids come in and get the final pieces, the final touches on the whole thing," said Greg Peterson, with Milwaukee Downtown.
Once installed, the trees will be decorated by more than 70 different schools and non-profit organizations before the Holiday Lights festival kicks off Nov. 18. Each tree will represent a class theme or wish for the holidays.
The trees will stay there until Jan. 1.
