MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- More than 1,300 bike riders will take to the streets of Milwaukee's Riverwest neighborhood for the annual Riverwest 24.
The 24-hour bike race happens on the last weekend of July from 7 p.m. on Friday to 7 p.m. on Saturday.
People can race solo or as part of a team as they loop around the suggested route.
The goal is to complete the highest number of laps in 24 hours.
One man CBS 58 News talked to says he has his plan all figured out.
"I've done my laps before it started, it's a little bit busy now. Maybe i'll do a couple of laps tomorrow but stay out of the rider's way," said Tim Burmeister, Riverwest resident.
The volunteer-run event first started back in 2007.
