Mitchell Park Domes train show returns with modern wonders theme
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Mitchell Park Domes train show returns Saturday, Jan. 17, featuring model trains winding through miniature versions of the Seven Modern Wonders of the World.
"Modern Wonders in the Dome" runs through March 22 in the Show Dome.
The garden-scale trains travel through beds of pansies, stocks and miniature azalea trees alongside miniature landscapes of global landmarks.
Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and major holidays. Last admission is one hour before closing.
The price of admission will be $9 for Milwaukee County adult residents and $10 for non-resident adults. Junior, senior, student and military admission is $6.50. Children 2 and under are free. Admission is $5 for all on the last Thursday of each month.
Special events included with regular admission are an all-scale train show exhibit Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, a winter bonsai display Feb. 22 and a steampunk faire March 7.
