MILWAUKEE-- All flights in and out of Mitchell Airport were temporarily halted after a plane got stuck on the taxiway.
The plane was a Delta flight from Minneapolis. It landed safely around 4:30 p.m., but the breaks overheated.
The plane was disabled on the taxiway. It was too close to the main north-south runway, the only open runway, and stopped other planes from being able to land or take off.
There were 134 passengers and 6 crew members aboard the disabled plane. They were all safely let off the plane.
Airport maintenance crews had to clear the snow off the north-south runway.
The airfield was reopened around 6 p.m.
