Missing service dog found, reunited with Milwaukee boy

MILWAUKEE- A 9-year-old Milwaukee boy was reunited with his service dog after it went missing 10 days ago.

Valetta Bradford, the boy's mom, said the dog disappeared after she was let out the front yard of her home on Milwaukee's North side.

Friday morning, Bradford got a call from the Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission. Her dog had been turned in as a stray.

\"I was told that some stranger walked up to another guy and said hey i got this dog for sale, then that person turned it in,\" said Bradford.

Bradford is now glad Shi-Shi is back home and reunited with her son Xavier Davis, who became paralized in 2010 when he was hit by a motorist who was texting and driving. The dog name Shi-Shi had become a lifeline to him.

\"We've lost enough so for us to get something back feels good,\" said Bradford.

Shi-Shi appears to be in good health. MADDAC placed a chip underneath her skin to track her in case she goes missing again.
