Milwaukee's Unsolved Bank Robberies: The Counter Jumper

MILWAUKEE- Bank robberies are increasing across Wisconsin, which is why the FBI office in Milwaukee is working with CBS58 finding the latest bandits still on the loose.

On Monday a bank robbery from January at the Westbury Bank in Slinger was featured.

The FBI said the suspect was wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie, gloves, and what looks to be a white bandanna over his face.

The suspect was said to be acting aggressively as soon as he walked into the bank and quickly jumped over the counter into the teller's area.

According to the FBI, being behind the counter keeps the bank robber in the building longer, with more chances for cameras to catch a glimpse of him, increases exposure to customers, and further increases the chances they'll be caught.

While Slinger may be a small village, the FBI said suburban areas tend to see similar bank robbery activity as big cities like Milwaukee.
