Milwaukee's Polish Fest Ready to Kick off by The Lake

We all have a little Polish pride this weekend.  It's the 35th anniversary for the annual festival along the lake on the Summerfest grounds.  It all kicks off Friday at noon, but I had the chance to get a preview of all the fun during Thursday's morning show.

I wondered through the cultural village, got a Polka dance lesson, and then tasted a few Polish treats.  I even heard accordionist Jimmy Locke perform.  He'll be there all day Saturday to greet visitors with his tunes.

This year, there's even a little Polka country music to create a different kind of flare.  To find out more about Polish Fest, just click on the attached link.  Remember, fifty cents is the admission price between noon and five on Friday.  Also, dads can get in free on Father's Day itself between 4 and 6 pm.
