Milwaukee's largest used book sale to help feed the hungry will start in August
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The All Saints Hunger Book Sale has been set for August.
The used book sale, considered the largest in Milwaukee, helps to raise money to fight hunger locally and beyond.
The book sale will take place Friday, August 3rd through Tuesday, August 7th, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. daily. Admission is free.
A special opening night will take place from 6 until 9 p.m. on August 2nd with a $5 donation.
About 40,000 books plus recorded music and movies will be for sale.
The book sale will take place at Cathedral Church of All Saints, located at 818 East Juneau in Milwaukee.

Last year $18,500 was donated out of the Hunger Book Sale proceeds went to:
- 4 free meal sites: The Gathering, St. Ben’s, All Saints’ Catholic Church, and St. John’s Cathedral Open Door Café
- 6 food distribution agencies and pantries: Interchange, Feeding America, Hunger Task Force, Jewish Community Pantry, Rescue Mission Holiday Meals, and Salvation Army Summer Lunch Program
- 6 local organizations with food-related programs: Sojourner Truth, Aids Resource Center, Cathedral Women’s Center, Our Next Generation Homework Club, Neighborhood House, and Repairers of the Breach
- 3 charities fighting hunger in the world: Diocese of Milwaukee special projects in Haiti, and Newala and through the Episcopal Relief and Development.
