MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee's La Causa, Inc. is set to celebrate summer with an event themed "Planting Seeds of Hope," spotlighting its Crisis Nursery and Respite Center.

The celebration will transpire at the Boerner Botanical Gardens on Thursday, Aug. 3, with festivities commencing at 6 p.m. and concluding at 9 p.m.

CNRC is a 12-bed shelter offering 24/7, 365-day service for children up to 12-years-old as families navigate homelessness, domestic violence, medical needs or other emergencies.

This Milwaukee-based organization noted in a press release that they served 460 children in 2022. Anyone interested in participating can purchase tickets by clicking here. All proceeds will go towards supporting CNRC.
