MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design is getting geared up for a holiday tradition that supports local artists and designers while also benefiting student scholarships.
The 12th annual MIAD Holiday Sale is returning to full capacity with works being sold by around 140 participating artists and designers.
Tracy Milkowski, Vice President for Institutional Advancement with MIAD joined us on Monday, Nov. 28 to offer full details about what to expect at the event and why it is important to MIAD and the Third Ward community of Milwaukee.
The sale typically is held during the first weekend of December, allowing visitors to shop art and design creations at an array of price points. Gifts include ornaments, paintings, greeting cards, jewelry, clothing, unique home items and more.
The event's Preview Night will be held on Thursday, Dec. 1 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. with admission costing $10. Admission will be free on Friday, Dec. 2 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
