MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee's first arts hotel is now open to the public.
Saint Kate features a theatre-inspired theme.
It has more than 200 rooms with a black box theatre.
Visitors can also visit art galleries and exhibition spaces.
Its location on Kilbourn is just blocks away from the Marcus Center and more entertainment.
"We're undergoing a renaissance right now. We're really pleased with that and we want to keep it going. And having corporate partners and community partners like Marcus... it's really pretty phenomenal," said Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett.
The name Saint Kate pays homage to Saint Catherine, the patron saint of artists.
Artists interested in showing their work can contact the hotel.
