MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee's Bell Ambulance held a dedication ceremony for one of their own.
EMT John Swanson died last June in a boating accident.
On Wednesday, Oct. 18, his family joined Bell Ambulance to honor him.
Swanson's wife said he had a passion for EMS education and helped train a lot of Bell Ambulance's current EMT's and paramedics.
"From what my family and I have learned, John was not only an EMT he enjoyed teaching and mentoring his fellow coworkers. We hope that those of you have learned anything from John will continue to think of him as you apply your skills in the field," said Lori Swanson, John Swanson's wife.
Bell Ambulance named their newly completed EMS training center in Swanson's honor.
