MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Downtown Milwaukee will host Gallery Night MKE on Friday, April 21 and Saturday, April 22, a free two-day event showcasing local and international art in various venues.
Featuring more than 50 participating galleries, the event will exhibit art pieces ranging from photography to sculpture in neighborhoods like the Historic Third Ward, East Town and Walker's Point.
Jordan Dechambre, organizer of Gallery Night MKE and Mal Montoya, President of Milwaukee Artist Resource Network shared more information when they joined us on Tuesday, April 18 for an interview.
Highlights of Gallery Night MKE include Jaime Brown's colorful installation at 310W, "Dear Nature" at The Avenue, Emma Daisy's "Lights in Bloom" at BMO Tower's parking structure and Edessa School of Fashion's live mannequin display at Milwaukee Artist Resource Network.
Visitors can plan their experience by downloading the Gallery Night MKE app or visiting GalleryNightMKE.com for listings, parking and dining information. Street parking is free after 6 p.m., and alternative transportation options include Bublr bikes and The Hop streetcar.
