MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee's annual St. Patrick's Day Parade returns Saturday, March 14 along with several events happening beforehand.
Parade director Mike Boyle and Celeste Keyes of the Milwaukee Irish Dance Company joined us Wednesday, March 11 to take a peek at what to expect in this year's parade.
The 58th annual parade -- presented by the Shamrock Club of Wisconsin and Westown Association -- steps off on West Wisconsin Avenue at North Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and travels a mile-and-a-half long route through downtown’s entertainment districts before ending on North Water Street at Highland Avenue.
Friday, March 13, at the 3rd Street Market Hall, Milwaukee leaders will hold a news conference along with a performance by Cashel Academy of Irish Dance. That night, there will be a ShamROCK kickoff party from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at Lucky Clover Irish Pub on MLK Drive.
Before the parade, there will be a morning mass in Honor of St. Patrick at 8:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church.
Additionally, parade goers should keep an eye out for CBS 58's Michael Schlesinger and Alexis Staniec, who will be participating in this year's parade!
