MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee teen is charged in a reckless high speed chase in Greenfield.
Dash cam video shows the moment he crashed and ran from police officers.
Officers initially tried to pull the car over after it came up as stolen.
They say the 17-year-old behind the wheel sped off, reaching speeds of 95 MPH.
He tried to make a high speed turn but crashed. The teen then tried to make a run for it but was caught.
Police say the teenager made several poor decisions.
"First of all, know whose car you're in. Know the people that are in your car. If the car is stolen, probably not a good idea to drive it," said Sgt. Chris Deglopper with the Greenfield Police Department.
The teen allegedly told police that he bought the car for $50 so he could get to school.
He told them that he didn't know the car was stolen.
