MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee's Nice Hair salon, established in 2018, has doubled its staff to 17 stylists and an administrative assistant while maintaining its eco-conscious mission.
The salon recycles approximately 95% of used items and offers non-gendered, time-based services at flat hourly rates, forgoing gratuity.
Owner Kate Kent encourages her staff to grow professionally, even allowing them to work at other salons simultaneously. Kent discussed more about Nice Hair when she joined us on Tuesday, May 2.
The salon is hosting a pride photoshoot, drag workshop and benefit, "Capture Your Pride!" on May 28 at 12 p.m. to support The Butterfly Collective.
The salon is also participating in a Walker's Point neighborhood clean-up on Sunday, May 7 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
