MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee bookstore, dedicated entirely to romance novels, is celebrating its first anniversary in the Milwaukee community.

Thirst Books is a woman-owned independent bookstore on North Avenue that specializes in romance novels in a variety of subgenres— from fantasy and sports romance to cowboy stories and contemporary beach reads.

This Saturday, May 23, they’re celebrating not only women authors, but other women owned businesses in the community.

From flower bouquets to coffee, meet and greets and giveaways, everyone is invited to come out and enjoy a bookstore that’s become more than a place to sell books.
