MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Winter weather introducing itself to Milwaukee for the season comes just in time for a musical about ice fishing to take stage in the city, too.
The Milwaukee Repertory Theater is preparing to take the musical "Guys on Ice" to the stage at Stackner Cabaret as the show celebrating its 25th anniversary of its Milwaukee Rep premiere.
The production's plot surrounds offering a unique glimpse into the lives of its characters, Marvin and Lloyd, who share their experiences and tales from their ice fishing shanty in northern Wisconsin. The musical will be directed by Jeffrey Herbst and includes songs such as "When on Thin Ice" and "The Wishing Hole."
Performances run from Friday, Jan. 12 through Sunday, March 17.
Steve Koehler, who portrays Lloyd, joined us on Thursday, Jan. 11 to preview the show and offer insights into the production.
Additional information, including how to purchase tickets, can be found by visiting the Milwaukee Rep online.
