Milwaukee Rally has begun for long holiday weekend

Tours are underway at the Pilgrim Road plant where the iconic Harley-Davidson motorcycles are made.

It is a favorite first stop for many of the riders who are coming in from around the country to take part in the largest free motorcycle event of its kind in the Midwest.

The annual Milwaukee Rally runs August 30-September 4, 2017.

This is a time for riders and those who are just curious to get out and meet the local dealers and enjoy free entertainment and check out all the bikes.

The official sites of the rally are:

Hal's Harley-Davidson

Milwaukee Harley-Davidson

Suburban Motors Harley-Davidson

Wisconsin Harley-Davidson

Harley-Davidson Museum

Harley-Davidson Pilgrim Rd. Plant

Each dealership will be hosting free entertainment.

The Harley-Davidson Museum on Canal Street will host special guest "Deja Vu" tonight starting at 7 p.m.

Throughout the weekend there will be several organized rides and chances to tour the Pilgrim Road plant.

Dianne Crowley with Wisconsin Harley-Davidson in Oconomowoc was a special live guest on the CBS 58 News at 4.

"We have a park like setting," Crowley told CBS 58 News, "with five bars and great Wisconsin craft beers!"

Crowley says it's important to get the word out that this is about independent business owners and they welcome non-riders to join in and see what it's all about.

"You don't have to have a motorcycle," Crowley insists. "You have to like live music, good food and cold beer!"

Of course the new 2018 motorcycles will be on display.

"I tell everyone, it's like a candy store!"
