Milwaukee radio host says mother-in-law's kidney transplant was successful

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- An exciting update on a story we ran earlier this week.
Radio host Elizabeth Kay of 99.1 The Mix tweeted Thursday, March 25, that her mother-in-law received her kidney transplant and is doing great!
UPDATE: Excited to say that my mother-in-law’s surgery went great!! The kidney is already functioning and everything looks good!!! ? ♻️

Kay helped her mother-in-law find a donor by participating in a kidney exchange program on the National Kidney Registry.
Kay will be donating a kidney to a complete stranger next week.
