Milwaukee police will feature long-term missing persons on social media

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Beginning Friday, May 29, the Milwaukee Police Department plans to post on social media long-term missing people.

Authorities identify a long-term missing as someone who has been missing for over 90 days.

Police say the social media posts will be shared every two weeks and are to make sure he or she has not been forgotten. They hope this will lead officials to the whereabouts of those missing and reunite them with their loved ones concerned for them.

MPD requests the public’s assistance in sharing the posts and contacting Milwaukee Police Sensitive Crimes Division at 414-935-7401 with any information.
