MIlwaukee Police: Two Women Shot Near 27th and Burleigh

UPDATE: A 31-year-old man and a 33-year-old man were arrested in connection with the shooting on Burleigh Street around 4:40 PM on Tuesday. MPD is continuing to investigate the motive. At last check, the victims remain hospitalized with their injuries.

ORIGINAL: Two women are injured following a shooting near 27th and Burleigh.

The call came in around 4:40 p.m.

According to police, two women were transported to local hospitals. A 50-year-old woman suffered life-threatening injuries. A 38-year-old woman was also shot and suffered serious injuries.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting are still under investigation.

Milwaukee Police continue to seek suspects.
