Milwaukee Police: Shots fired among group of people inside home leaves one seriously injured

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police are investigating an afternoon shooting that happened after shots were fired inside of a home

Police were called to a report of a shooting near 28th and Highland around 3 p.m. on Tuesday.

Preliminary investigation revealed that shots were fired among a group of people inside of a home in that location.

A man was hit by gunfire, left the scene, and was later found near 33rd and McKinley.

The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

One suspect has been taken into custody.

Police are still investigating the circumstances that lead up to the shooting.
