Milwaukee Police Searching for Vehicle Involved in Hit and Run

Milwaukee Police are searching for a vehicle involved in a hit and run accident with a pedestrian early Friday morning.

Milwaukee Police are searching for a maroon or red 4-door vehicle.

The incident occurred near the corner of W Atkinson Avenue and W Capitol Drive around 1:30 AM. 

According to the Police, the preliminary investigation found that a 45 year old intoxicated male was walking in the street when he was struck by the suspect vehicle. 

The vehicle, no make or model given, failed to stop and continued east bound on Atkinson. 

The pedestrian was responsive when officers arrived on the scene. 

He was taken to a local hospital  for treatment of his non-life threatening injuries.
