MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police are asking the public for help in locating a suspect who broke into a victim's garage on New Year's Day.
It happened around 2:40 a.m. on January 1 in the 4500 block of Lloyd Street.
Police say that the suspect approached the victim's garage, entered through an unlocked service door, and took a red Yard Machine lawn mower valued at $200 and an Air Hawk Pro Handheld Air compressor valued at $50.
The suspect then fled on foot north through the alley between 45th and 46th streets towards Garfield.
The suspect is described as a black male, 30-40 years of age, medium-build, short beard, last seen wearing an unknown color winter jacket, unknown color pants, and a backpack with two digital reflective stripes.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
