MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police are looking for a burgundy 4-door 1997-2001 Buick Park Avenue or LeSabre after they say it was the vehicle involved in a hit-and-run Friday morning that seriously injured a crossing guard. 

Police say the crossing guard, 71-year-old Andrew Tyler has been with MPD for nine years. According to police, the hit-and-run happened just before 6:30 a.m. near N. 72nd Street and W. Carmen Avenue.

Anyone with information about the hit-and-run is asked to call the Milwaukee Police Department.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 71-year-old MPD crossing guard is seriously hurt after a hit and run crash Friday morning, according to Milwaukee Police. 

Investigators say the crash happened just before 6:30 a.m. near N. 72nd Street and W. Carmen Avenue. Milwaukee Police say after hitting the crossing guard, the driver fled the scene.

Police are still looking for the car and driver. They say the crossing guard has been with MPD for nine years.

A CBS 58 crew on the scene spoke to neighbors who said there isn't a crossing guard posted at that intersection but they believe the victim may have been walking to his position at a nearby school.

The incident happened around 6:30 a.m. Friday morning near N. 72nd Street and W. Carmen Avenue in Milwaukee.
