MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating after responding to an abduction call that started on the north side Wednesday.

Police say they responded to the area near 40th and Chambers around 2:30 a.m.

Officials say they cannot provided any further details at this time as not to compromise the active investigation.

They say there is no threat to the public.
