Milwaukee police offer free auto-theft deterrent installations

  The Milwaukee Police Department is offering to install auto theft deterrent devices in vehicles believed to be at risk of being stolen. The department is offering free installations in partnership with the Automobile Dealers Association of Mega Milwaukee.

Installations will take place on January 17 and January 24 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at three locations in the City of Milwaukee. Vehicles will be taken on a first come first served basis, no appointments are allowed. 

Three install locations:

  • 3818 W. Mitchell St. Milwaukee, WI 53215
  • DPW Main Garage 2142 W. Canal St. Milwaukee, WI 53233
  • 3850 N. 35th St. Milwaukee, WI 53216

The following vehicles are eligible for this program: Dodge Caravan, Dodge Intrepid, Dodge Stratus, Dodge Neon, Chrysler Town & Country, Plymouth Voyager, Chrysler Sebring, and Jeep Cherokee. Any models newer than 2006 are not eligible for this program. The Honda Accord and Honda Civic model 2001 and older are also eligible for this program.
