Milwaukee Police news website down following attack

The Milwaukee Police Department's news website is offline as the department upgrades the security of their website. The security upgrade is in reaction to an attack that temporarily knocked the website offline.

Police their website was disabled by an "outside group" on December 30 around 10 p.m. Police are investigating the cause of the interruption in service.

The department hopes these new upgrades will prevent future disruptions. The Milwaukee Police Department is still reporting news via their Twitter and Facebook accounts.
