Milwaukee police investigate multiple non-fatal shootings Saturday afternoon

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) is investigating multiple non-fatal shootings that occurred Saturday afternoon, August 21.

Milwaukee police responded to a shooting that occurred on Saturday, at approximately 3:30 p.m., near 62nd and Thurston.

The victim, a 19-year-old Milwaukee man, sustained non-fatal injuries.

Officials say the victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Police believe the shooting is a result of a verbal argument. 

MPD continues to seek a known suspect.

The second shooting also occurred on Saturday, at approximately 3:54 p.m., near 27th and Howard.

The victim, a 16-year-old Milwaukee child, sustained non-fatal injuries.

Police report the victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Authorities are still looking into the circumstances leading up to the shooting.

Milwaukee police continue to seek unknown suspects.
