Milwaukee police investigating homicide near Sherman and Villard

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a homicide on the city's North side, late Monday night. 

According to police, a 65-year-old Milwaukee man was shot near W. Villard Ave. and N. Sherman Blvd. around 10:50 p.m.

The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and succumbed to his injuries on scene. The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner was called out to assist. 

The circumstances leading up to the incident are under investigation. Milwaukee Police are seeking an unknown suspect in relation to the shooting.
