MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that left a 21-year-old man injured.

The shooting happened around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday in the 2900 block of N. Frederick Avenue.

The victim is being treated at a local hospital for treatment of what is believed to be a non-life threatening injury. 

According to police, the victim drove himself to a local hospital.

The investigation remains ongoing and police are attempting to confirm the victim's account of what occurred.
