Milwaukee Police Investigate Two Overnight Homicides

MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Police are investigating two separate shootings that left two people dead.

The first one occurred around 1 a.m. this morning near 27th Street and West Hope Avenue. Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert and found a yet to be identified male in his early 20's suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. He died on the scene despite lifesaving efforts. The police continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

The second shooting occurred shortly before 3 a.m. in front of Comments Nightclub in the 5200 block of W. Hampton Ave. Officers responded to a report of a man with a gun and arrived to find the 32-year-old male victim suffering from a very serious gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment but was later pronounced dead by the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding this shooting continues.
