MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 63-year-old was killed in a crash early Tuesday, Dec. 16 in Milwaukee, according to police.

Milwaukee police responded to a crash at around 1:42 a.m. near 51st and Custer. One driver ran a stop sign and collided with another vehicle that was making a turn, police said.

A 47-year-old driver of the vehicle that was hit was transported to a hospital with serious but non-fatal injuries. A 63-year-old passenger in that vehicle was transported to a hospital and died.

The driver who ran the stop sign, a 48-year-old man, was taken to a hospital with serious but non-fatal injuries and was arrested, according to police.

Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
