Milwaukee Police Department to honor officers, citizens at ceremony

The Milwaukee Police Department will celebrate outstanding officers and community members at the annual spring merit awards Wednesday night.
Police Chief Ed Flynn will honor 73 officers and 14 citizens will get awards. MPD says the event is a good way to show how officers work with citizens to make Milwaukee a safer place. The ceremony starts at 6:00 pm at the Milwaukee Police Academy, 6680 N. Teutonia Avenue in Milwaukee.
