Milwaukee police: 1 dead, another injured in shooting near 44th and Auer

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened near 44th and Auer on Tuesday, May 3.

Police said it happened around 2:20 p.m.

According to police, a 26-year-old Milwaukee man sustained fatal injuries and pronounced dead at the scene.

A second victim, a 54-year-old Milwaukee woman, was injured at taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Police say a 19-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested in connection and charges are being viewed by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting appear to be drug related.
