MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Local nonprofit Roxz's Resources and Awareness, founded by Vicky Van Lare, is organizing a drive-up distribution event in Milwaukee to assist families struggling with the costs of pet ownership.
The event aims to provide pet food and supplies to those in need, and is scheduled to take place on Sunday, Jan. 21 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Canine Einstein at 1601 E. Oklahoma Ave. in Bayview.
Van Lare, inspired by personal experiences and a passion for animal welfare, established the organization to address the challenges faced by pet owners during economic hardships. She joined us on Wednesday, Jan. 3 to offer more details on how people can not only accept the help being offered, but how they can help donate to the cause.
