Milwaukee Offering Mattress and Furniture Pickup for No Charge

The city of Milwaukee kicked off its annual Project Clean and Green on Monday.

Over the next 7 weeks, Department of Public Works crews will be picking up unwanted furniture, mattresses and other household items in designated neighborhoods at no charge.

This service usually costs $50 to $150.

They will also be involved in street sweeping, graffiti removal and other beautification activities to foster neighborhood pride.
