MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee native Arike Ogunbowale has become a bit of a hometown hero after making an incredible buzzer beater to win the National Championship for Notre Dame.
On Wednesday night, the graduate of Divine Savior Holy Angels High School was awarded an ESPY for the 2018 Best Play.
"First, shoutout to my amazing teammates. it was a team effort. You guys know this and I wouldn't be up here without you guys so thank you," Ogunbowale said. "And, shoutout to women's basketball as a whole. There's a lot of people with opinions about us, but all I gotta say is come see us on the court."
