Milwaukee mother sentenced for driving drunk, crashing van with eight kids inside

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee mother is sentenced to 56 months in prison for a felony charge of neglecting a child.
In January, 30-year-old Amanda Martinez was arrested for driving drunk with eight kids in her van. The children told police the van crashed when a passenger grabbed the steering wheel.
After Tuesday's sentencing, Martinez will spend 20 months of her sentence in prison. The rest will be under extended supervision.
Martinez also got time for two other charges including OWI. She's also been ordered to attend parenting classes.
