Milwaukee mother receives two year sentence for daughter's death

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee mother apologized in court for the accidental death of her daughter.

Talisha Lee was sentenced to two years in prison Friday. 

Lee's daughter, Miyanna Jelks, was killed in March of 2018.

The 9-year-old had found her dad's gun in their home.

Her brother took it from her, but it accidentally went off, and she was killed. 

It happened while Lee was out shopping.
