MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport launched the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program on Friday, Dec. 3.
Officials say the program is designed to make the travel experience smoother for children and adults with disabilities.
"Passengers who need extra assistance can request a sunflower-themed lanyard from the Airport Information Desk to signify that they may need additional time or support while at the Airport," Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport announced.
Friday's launch of the program corresponded with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
