Milwaukee Marathon held by the lakefront

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Many people gathered by the lakefront and enjoyed the warmer weather, getting a run in during the Milwaukee Marathon. 

"Oh, it was great. Beautiful day, bunch of people out, the energy was really high. It was both our first marathons, so... glad to be done," said Noah Nelson from Delafield. 

The races included a 5K, a half marathon, and a marathon. 

It's the first in person event in five years, after the organization went virtual due to the pandemic. 

Winner of today's race was Chicagoan Philip Lambert, who completed the marathon in just 2 hours and 34 minutes, which is under six miles a minute,
