(MILWAUKEE) For more than a century they’ve plucked a tune like no other. The Milwaukee Mandolin Orchestra is the oldest fretted-instrument music organization in the United States. Organized in 1900, the group consists of both amateur and professional musicians performing a repertoire of a wide variety of string compositions including traditional American mandolin music as well as classical, modern, Italian and Latin pieces.
On CBS 58 Sunday Morning Mark McPherson has the music and story of the Milwaukee Mandolin Orchestra.
