Milwaukee Man Seriously Wounded as Gunfire Erupts Wednesday Night

A 26-year-old Milwaukee man is recovering from a serious gunshot wound received Wednesday evening. According to the Milwaukee Police Department, the man was shot around 8 PM Thursday and taken to a local hospital by family members. A preliminary investigation of the shooting found that a number of gunshots were fired in the area of N 35th Street and W Auer Avenue. The victim was struck at least once by the gunfire. He is expected to survive the injury. The MPD is continuing to investigate the shooting.
