Milwaukee man sentenced for drugged-driving crash that killed passenger

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Jonathan J. Vogel has been sentenced to 15 years initial prison confinement and 7 years of extended supervision for the April 2, 2017 marijuana drugged-driving death of Whitney C. Domer.

Vogel entered a no contest plea on May 1, 2018, to the crime of Homicide by Vehicle – Use of Controlled Substance.

Vogel was driving a vehicle on Highway 26 when it left the roadway, rolled over ending up on its roof and then started on fire.

Whitney Domer, the only passenger, was pinned inside the vehicle and died as a result of the crash.

Vogel was previously convicted of a separate incident from April 1, 2017, for Failure to notify police of accident, operating while suspended, and unsafe deviation.
