MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – A Milwaukee man is now charged in a fatal hit-and-run crash.
Dennis Thomas Jr. is charged with homicide by intoxicated use of vehicle, homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle with a prohibited alcohol concentration and hit-and-run resulting in death.
According to the criminal complaint, the crash happened on April 6 near Teutonia and Oriole. A woman was killed in the crash.
Court documents state Thomas was found by a security guard walking from the crash scene. The security guard says Thomas told him he was the driver and that he was sorry and didn’t mean to hurt anyone.
The security guard then took Thomas back to the scene of the crash and turned him over to police. Thomas' blood alcohol concentration was .218.
If convicted, Thomas faces 75 years in prison and $300,000 in fines.
