Milwaukee man charged in death of 4-year-old girl bound over for trial

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Twenty-nine-year-old Winston Chambers was bound over for trial Friday in the death of a 4-year-old girl last year.

Kaliyah King Magee died after suffering a traumatic brain injury.

Court documents blame her death on repeated abuse by her caregivers.

Chambers was one of those caregivers, and he faces three felony counts including first-degree reckless homicide, physical abuse of a child causing death and neglecting a child (consequence is death).

In a preliminary hearing Friday, the court found probable cause and ordered him to stand trial. Chambers pleaded not guilty to the charges.

He is due back in court June 23.
