Milwaukee man charged with burglarizing Brewers clubhouse, staff offices after doubleheader
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee man is charged with burglary after allegedly breaking into American Family Field after a doubleheader and stealing items from the Brewers clubhouse, manager's office and coaches' office.
Justin Bloedorn, 25, is facing a felony burglary charge after the September incident.
A criminal complaint says police responded to American Family Field on Sept. 9, 2022 for the reported burglary after a fan was seen on the field and in the tunnel, which are restricted areas, after the stadium was closed.
The video showed the suspect, later identified as Bloedorn, carrying bags, bats and items that were taken from various locations in the stadium.
Investigators say several items were reported as stolen from the strength coach's office including a backpack, laptop, iPod, headphones, Walkman, sunglasses, notebooks, calendars, a credit card, and passport.
Detectives learned two Milwaukee Brewers players' game-issued jerseys were taken from the Brewers clubhouse, and two items were removed from the manager's office including a jersey and shaving kit.
Signed baseball bats, a replica World Series ring and keys to the Arizona spring training facility were also reported missing, along with a locker bag of baseballs and pitching training devices from the coaches' locker room.
Investigators located Bloedorn asleep inside his apartment with a Brewers duffel bag and memorabilia. The complaint says upon their arrival, Bloedorn woke up and admitted to taking the items.
When questioned, the complaint says Bloedorn admitted to going to the Brewers doubleheader, drinking at least 10 beers during the games, and at some point, going outside and passing out.
He told police he eventually woke up in some bushes and began pulling on the door of the stadium until it opened.
After walking around and collecting items, he said he called an Uber and left with the property.
