Milwaukee Man Arrested After Firing Gun into Air

A Milwaukee man admitted to firing shots into the air in the 900 block of North 24th Street around 6:55PM on Thursday.

According to Milwaukee Police, District Three officers were called when ShotSpotter went off.

ShotSpotter is a gunfire locator system that pinpoints precise locations from which gunshots were fired.

When officers arrived, they located two men standing outside a home.

One of the men, a 34-year-old from Milwaukee, was clutching his waistband and he was found to have a loaded 9mm handgun.

He faces charges of Carrying a Concealed Weapon.

The other man, also 34-years-old and from Milwaukee, confessed to officers that he fired the shots into the air.

He faces charges of Endangering Safety by Use of a Dangerous Weapon.
